I like it~♥

I know it's just normal street photography, but you have to look into it and find what it means to you, and what you like about it. In the background, there's a girl in a phone booth talking, people walking, street lights, and two girls eating. Sure, that's everyday life in a street, right? But there's something about it that makes me feel like I'm THERE. It looks natural too. And maybe it's not perfect either, but it's those little imperfections that make it unique~!

We all look at the world in different ways. And we're all entitled to our own opinions. (・u・ )

Keep being awesome!

StamatisGR "Ridiculous"?How so? At least I make an attempt at my drawings. This photographer did not. As I've said a million times, nothing was added to this photo, and nothing is spectacular about it in the first place. My drawings are quite amazing, this picture is not.

StamatisGR I was only retorting to your impeccably rude remark. What my original point was, this photo is not art and does not deserve a Daily Deviation award. It's literally a picture that anyone can take of a semi-busy street. I see an old man and a sign. What's so special about this?

P.S. go fuck yourself, my quarrel isn't with you.

The reason you don't see anything special in this photo is because you have zero understanding of street photography. it's OK though, no need to get excited.

The thing about photography is putting pieces into a photo that hint to the meaning. If you look at the eternity sign, that's black and red. It is similiar to the mans glasses, which then can be connected to the thick eyebrows on the frida style poster. It's symbolism.  Besides all photos are a part of art, as photography is a form of art. Everything you create, paint, photograph, sculpt, can be called art.

I disagree ; I don't see the link between the infinity symbol, the glasses and Frida, honestly. And even if there was a link, what would be the meaning ? The message ?
What I can see on this picture is a very bad composition, the picture is blurry and it ISN'T an artistic blur at all, the colors are grey, it's sub-exposed (too dark) and even the horizon isn't right. And there's no meaning to be found. I'm sorry, I really don't see any art in here.

of course you don't. If you don't know what street photography is about, you just don't get it. Unfortunately sometimes you HAVE to know what you are talking about to say something sensible, and this is one of these cases.

"The origin of the term 'Street' refers to a time rather than a place, a time when women achieved greater freedom, when workers were rewarded with leisure time and when society left the privacy of their sitting rooms, people engaged with each other and their surroundings more publicly and therein the opportunity for the photographer." [...] "Framing and timing are key aspects of the craft, with the aim of creating images at a decisive or poignant moment." (like this one : upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia… or this one 1.bp.blogspot.com/-Fr1yAh5e1UY… ).

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_p…

This picture isn't street photography at all.

This photo is TOTALLY about framing and timing and decisive moment. The photographer saw, recognized and framed a connection between elements in front of him. A repetition of form, between glasses, symbol, eyebrows. This is not something everybody would see or think. The frame is the best to triangle the elements. It is a surprising, original and well done photo. The 'message' here is visual and this photo is as much street as Doiseneau's photos. Street photography is not only kisses or jumps, it is this as well. You should maybe take a look to contemporary street photography.

Bacxaber is a fine involuntary humorist  . He doesn't realize that his ignorance of street photography is making him sound like a perfect idiot. For example when he insists saying that street photos need 'spectacular additional effects' . Oh my  He hasn't even looked up street photography definition before starting babbling, otherwise he would know that a fundamental characteristic of street photography is being UNMANIPULATED.
Whatever, what really matter are the comments of people who know what they are talking about.
By the way, I would love telling him these things straight, but of course he insulted me first and then blocked me. Which is funny too.
